Using and deleting cookies

What are cookies and what are they used for?

Cookies are small files left on your computer to help quicker access to websites you regularly use.  They can contain various pieces of information such as preferences for each site. Without cookies enabled, you cannot access secure sites.

How to delete cookies and temporary internet files

It is good practice to delete your cookies and temporary internet files from time to time to ensure your computer is not storing old information. Please note that deleting your cookies will mean that you will also lose saved password/auto-complete information for all websites that you use. If completed as per the relevant instructions below, this should not affect any other functions on your computer, but MCPS-PRS accepts no responsibility for the result of your actions.
